Helps with hemostasis and gingival retraction due to the presence of aluminum chloride, which causes the surface layer of free gingiva to contract by precipitating tissue and serum proteins. Used in cavity preparations for restorations and dental prostheses. Conditioned tissues recover within 1 hour. Does not contain epinephrine.
