EDTA Trisodium Solution

Endodontics

EDTA is generally accepted as the most effective chelating agent. Inside the pulp cavity, it acts on the dentin walls, demineralizing them and making them less resistant to the action of endodontic instruments, which facilitates canal preparation. It also efficiently removes dentin sludge, increasing dentin permeability.

EDTA is used to widen root canals, remove the smear layer, and prepare the dentin wall for the adhesion of filling materials.
